                                                           Matthew 28:18-20

                            “Our Submission to The Great Commission Vision”

          Alexander Kinglake, a British writer and skeptic of the Gospel did not recognize the truth of the Gospel.  Still, he realized the difference it would make if true as he stated, “All churches should bear the inscription ‘Important! If true.’”  The problem with the church is we say we believe it is important but act as if it is not true!  We do what we believe; all else is just talk.  Believing and submitting are inseparable.  It was their submitting to the Great Commission Vision that let 12 men turn the world “right-side up” for Jesus.

 Proverbs 29:18 – Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained,
 but happy is he who keeps the law.

 Exodus 32:25 –  Now when Moses saw that the people were out of control—for Aaron had let them get out of control to be a derision among their enemies—

 “perish” – without restraint or run wild as in Exodus where it means “to be stripped naked and left defenseless and without power”.

I. THE POWER WE ARE SUBMIT OUR LIVES TO IS A PERSON:  A PERSON WITH ALL 

   AUTHORITY

 John 15:5 –  I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

 Philippians 4:19 –  And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

 Ephesians 3:20-21 – Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, ²¹ to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

 II.  THE PLAN WE ARE TO SUBMIT OUR LIVES TO:  “GO YE THEREFORE”

      1.  We must Go where they are

      2.  We must Go when we can

      3.  We must Go whatever the cost

III. THE PROMISE WE ARE TO SUBMIT OUR LIVES TO:  HIS PRESENCE

 Matthew 28:19-20 – Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
